Why are there more females answering in the Men’s Health Section of Yahoo Answers than there are males?

Just curious. Are women more expert about penises, testicles, ejaculations, male masturbation, erections and prostate glands then men are of periods, breasts, PMS and female masturbation?
Nurse Ree-nay: I’m just curious. I’m not saying I know anything about women’s health issues. No need to get huffy. I question your claim about men being uncomfortable. In real life (outside of Yahoo Answers), men talking about their erections, testicles, etc. is usually met with something very uncomfortable if discussed with females. And I doubt that any of the guys asking questions here are shaking with nervousness hoping that males don’t read their questions. I must say that I think its great that females really, really care about the health of all men’s sexual organs (to the point that they’ll participate in numbers and with glee on this forum). It’s just interesting that without avatars and fake names in real life you will hardly ever hear a peep from a woman about it.
Susie_september: Ah, so I guess for you the answer is yes; you know more about erections, testicles, ejaculations, etc. than men do. It must be an important subject for you.

guys seriously seem to know nothing about girls periods and boobs and stuff.
in health, when you learn things about guys stuff its pretty straightfoward, and thats that.
but in the girls stuff, yeah it tells you an egg is coming out of her fallopian tubes and making her bleed out of her vag, but it doesnt really tell you what it is like and whatever.

Some men aren’t comfortable talking to other men about their own sex organs. Plus, think about this… How many of the women are nurses compared to men. Just because I show that I’m a nurse on my little avatar, doesn’t mean that all nurses here do and typically women read a lot about this type stuff. And to turn the question around, do YOU actually know anything about women’s actually physiology/biology?

It has been a fact of life on here since Answers began. Women like to always put in their two cents worth, even when it isn’t worth anything. I consistently see answers from females that are absolutely wrong or misleading. Never checked out womens health, was always tempted to go there and answer every question!

I’m a female and I just came from Women’s Health- the only questions on that forum are a bunch of 12 year olds asking when they’re gonna get boobs or 15 year olds asking if you think they’re pregnant. There are more interesting questions over here.

I think men are notoriously bad at looking after their health. For those of us with partners, we are concerned about them and learn a lot about mens health to keep them well.
Men know very little about their bodies (even less about a woman’s body) so us girls are here to educate them.

I am curious about that myself, and after reading some of the answers, I’m amazed at how anyone would want to bring sensitive issues concerning Men’s Health, to the presence of others who have no medical training. I would think that an honest ongoing dialogue with a compassionate medical provider would help answer about 87% of the questions seen here. Then again, I could be brain dead.

I basically answer questions I know the answer to. I want to help males feel reassured about what’s going on in their life with the little advice I can give.
