There is a chance that one of them is a carrier of a STD from a previous experience but have not shown symptoms. So if neither one of you is a virgin there is always a possibility.

  2. BoXx Says:

if the guy doesn’t have STD… then you can’t contract it because it’s not there.

That’s if the guy really has no STD though.

Some STDs go through dormant stages and cannot be detected on the STD tests during these dormant stages. SO, he might have it but not on record, especially if he has had multiple sexual partners. It’s always good to be safe than sorry.

The only way to know you are STD-free is to take a new STD test–and include the herpes test as well, because most STD tests do NOT include it. (Something clinics and doctors often do NOT tell you.) Also, Some STDs (HIV/herpes) take time to show antibodies in the blood–2 weeks-4 months for herpes, up to 6 months for HIV, so it takes awhile to know if you are infected with those.

Just FYI–the largest number of genital herpes cases today is among teens who have HSV-1 (oral herpes/cold sores/fever blisters) and then transfer the virus to a partner’s genitals during oral sex. The problem is that MANY people who have oral herpes NEVER have an outbreak or any sign that they are infected/ Today, up to 80% of the US population is already infected–over 90% will be by age 50.

It a 0% chance if you know for a fact that you guys doesn’t have it. But it sounds like you are not totally sure since you are asking this question. To be totally sure go and get tested.
