If you’re on birth control for about 6-7 years, can you still get pregnant later on?

Friday, April 8th, 2011

I had a baby when I was fairly young and went on birth control. I was on all different ones (depo shot, patch and pill) for 6, almost 7 years. I decided to stop to try to replenish my “system”. I am finally with the man of my dreams and I want to have a baby with him now but I am deathly afraid I wont be able to get pregnant because i messed up my body so bad. I dont do drugs, I dont drink, I live a very straight life. Does anyone know about this subject? Or have any advice? Thanks so much.

I am 18 years old, a male, and I have a problem with gyno?

Monday, April 4th, 2011

Okay, heres the deal. I am an 18 year old male going off to college. I work out everyday, lifting and running, eat relatively healthy (mostly whole grains and fruit, along with several cups of green tea a day). I also recently became a type 1 diabetic. I am leaving for college in a week, and I think I have a problem gynocaemastia (sp?). I first started noticing these problems with “man-boobs” before I became diabetic, so I dont think it is related to the fact that I am type-1. My nipples are constantly itching, I feel tissue there, and when I where a shirt, my nipples stick out, which is extremely embarassing. My raging sex drive of the past has also become nonexistant. When i masturbate, I have a very weak and depressing orgasm, which makes me believe that it isnt even worth it. At first I thought i had a zinc deficiency, so i started supplementing, and all thats done is help with the itching, still no recovery of sex drive. When I was hospitalized for type-1, they constantly gave me potassium through the IV because apparently my potassium levels were wayyyy off. I also noticed that my sex drive had returned those 3 days in the hospital though. So my question is this, could my sex drive be screwed up because my potassium levels are out of whack, because I also listen to brainwave entrainment for anxiety and depression, which supposedly throws ur potassium levels all out of whack, but apparently there is no evidence of this. Also, are there any herbs, such as vitex or something, that can help with this apparent breast tissue which is building up under my nipples? Thank you.

Is there an increase in prostate cancer and men using erectile dysfunction medications (50-60 years old) ?

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

I met a spouse while at the doctor’s with my husband. Both men had started using ED meds 5 years ago. I remember how many of female friends developed breast cancer when Dr. jumped on the HRT meds. Have there been any long-term studies of the use of ED meds?

My husband is 48 years old, has enlarged prostate, tested negative for cancer, but now has blood in urine?

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

My husband now has blood in urine now and then, no pain, but noticed it a while back. Should he be concerned? His doctor is aware of his enlarged prostate but was negative for prostate cancer. I read that the blood in urine is a symptom of enlarged prostate – so should we be alarmed? or should he go see a urologist at this point?

My grandfather is 76 years old. He has Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) from 30 years.?

Saturday, February 12th, 2011

He used painkillers but doctors asked him to avoid them because he has an enlarged prostate gland and it will be difficult to urinate. Due to IBS, he has constipation and diarrhoea frequently. If he uses a laxative, he gets loose motions. He also has nervous weakness and headache. His Barium meal and colonoscopy were done and the report was fine. So the doctor concluded that he had IBS. Now he has severe abdomen, nervous pain, headache, vertigo and loss of apetite. If he eats anything, there is severe pain in his stomach. Also he has lost 10 Kgs in the last 6 months. He has psyhological problem i.e. he is always tensed about his health and future. We have checked him up with many doctors but in vain. Their medicines don’t work. He also has insomnia due to pain. Please suggest an alternative medicine or painkiller which is available in India?
