I am a 21 year old male, in a three year relationship.
My girlfriend has recently had a decline in her sex drive for various reasons that I’m still trying to figure out. I’m very curious if the extent of this decline is normal though.
As a female, no matter your age, how often do you masturbate?
Im 39 weeks pregnant and now that i’ve stared to plan my birth control method for after my pregnancy in stuck between the IUD and the Depo-Reva Shot… WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
For men – I’m not talking the supposed “male organ” enhancers but ones to increase sex drive, harder erections, increased performance. If so, what did you use? Do you recommend it?
For women – have you tried anything that increases drive, enhances orgasms, etc. What did you use and did it work?
This is my intro video in the beginning of my weight loss journey. I will give weekly updates every Sunday. I know the picture quality and sound is not the best, so please bear with me until I get a good camera….
Ok, to start off this is my 3 month of being on Ortho TriCyclen. I have never been on birth control before and didn’t have any problems with my periods or anything. Now however since I started on it I’ve had a brownish discharge with a bit of pink and was noticable when I wiped. It started about mid cycle every month so far. This month was a little different, it started off with the discharge like usual, (not enough to fill a pad, but enough to warrant wearing one) and now its gone to straight bleeding as if I was having a light to medium period for the last couple days. Its been going on for about a week total with the discharge. I’ve been told it’s from my body getting used to the birth control, but how long does it generally take to get used to? I am sexually active and took a pg test but it was negative. I’m not sure what to do. I won’t get insurance til May and I can’t afford to get checked out. Any help would be appreciated, I don’t have any diseases as I’ve only had sex with one man and he’s clean. I just need to know if this is normal for women just starting birth control, or if I should be worried. Or if I should try changing the type of birth control I’m on. Sorry if its tmi, I just want to know whats wrong with me.
Why aren’t we allowed to make our own educated decisions regarding our reproductive health? Why do doctors insist we have annual pap smears when the ACOG guidelines recommend every other year and other countries have guidelines recommending it every three or five years? Why do doctors hold our birth control pills and even other medical care hostage unless we have this procedure every single year? The first question a woman gets asked at a doctor “is when was your last pap?” it doesn’t matter what we came in for. Men don’t get asked “when was your last prostate exam?” when they come in with the flu even though prostate cancer is more common than cervical cancer.
Why are women in the US forced into those stirrups? Other countries don’t use them except for surgeries. Why do gynecologists lie to us and misinform us? Many of my friends think that pap smears test for STDs, uterine and ovarian cancer but that is not true it only tests for cervical changes, it doesn’t even detect an active HPV infection unless it is causing cell changes. Why aren’t we even informed about the ultrasound test for ovarian cancer (most insurance doesn’t pay for it) but the cervical cancer test is shoved down our throats?
Why don’t gynecologists believe what you tell them? I have a friend who had an abnormal pap result at age 19 and the doctor kept accusing her of lying about only having had sex with one person. She is pretty sure it was a false positive now that we know that happens often in women under 25. Basically why don’t women have full rights to INFORMED CONSENT when it comes to gynecological care? And why do doctors treat us like children instead of intelligent adults capable of making our own choices?
@sunshine – You do realize that could have be an unnecessary procedure right? When doctors say they are removing “precancerous” legions it doesn’t mean that you would have had cancer if they hadn’t. It could very well have been a false positive if you were young. Look it up – that is why they are recommending not to screen so often or so early because women are having their cervix mutilated when it wasn’t necessary. And the women walk away believing that it was a life saving procedure.
Alright, I am writing a script and a character in it had this disease. This disease is a, yes, sexually transmitted disease (STD for short) and I need to know very soon. The disease I’m thinking of ONLY does this to women, nothing more. (Hard core stuff, yes?)
