Physical Symptoms Related to Low Testosterone
Signs of low testosterone in men may include decreased sex drive, poor erections by the penis [erectile dysfunction (ED)], >>> lowered sperm count and reduced fertility <<<, or increased breast size.
I was low on T and was put on Depo T injections. Now I’m told I am infertile.
Low T causes reduced infertility?
High T causes reduced infertility?
well, 2001-2003 the endocrinologist was giving me 600-700 mg every 2-3 weeks, then he left the country and then my regular doctor took over the role and has been giving me 400mg every 2-3 weeks. However last month the day before a shot (2+ weeks since a shot) my total T level was 56, when normal is 280-800. So, when my urologist says my Depo T therapy has caused infertility…..and then another doctor said “stop the Depo T” for 6 months and test again, they seem to contradict each other. If I stop the shots my T level will head to zero. If it is 56 (2.9) weeks after a shot, no telling what it will be if I go without depo for 6 months as advised.
None of these doctors ever said the risk of low T is fertility problems. Now the urologist says the Depo has caused the problem.
