A friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes only (has not spread to any other organs or bones). All I can find are sources that explain staging and treatments, but the more aggressive treatments (surgery/radiation) seem to be only for localized or low-grade cancer. I know the FDA seems to take forever to approve drugs/treatments that are being used abroad with great results; how do I find info on these types of studies done outside the US? Is it only a matter of time before his cancer spreads from the nodes at this point or is there a shot of chemo & hormones stopping it? Since it hasn’t spread any further, wouldn’t removing the prostate along with the nodes benefit him? I haven’t found anything stating surgery as an option once it spreads from the prostate. I’m sorry this is so long with so many questions! Thank you!

If someone is diagnosed with an STD and they continue to have sex with partners without telling them that they have the STD who should you contact to report this? Is this a crime? Can this be taken to court?

The cancer has been spread and now hes treatment are Zoladex for prostate cancer and Zometa for bone cancer.Now he’shaving urine with blood.what this means and can he be cured or what is happening with him..thank u

So I’m curious to know how fast prostate cancer spreads? My dad was diagnosed with it last week and he’s going in for a CAT scan and a bone test this coming Thursday… so I’m curious to know how fast does this sort of cancer spread? I’ve been reading, and I found out that it typically spreads to the bone.

I can only assume that it’s early stages… any information would be greatly appreciated.

68 year old man in otherwise good health, midway through chemo intended to deal with this issue, cancer has metastasized.

In other words, they removed his prostate and now it spread to his bones. Why isn’t it called bone cancer instead of prostate cancer? Can anyone give me some details on this cancer he has? Thanks! And God Bless!
