Dr. Siegel completes the urology consultation on premature ejaculation, focusing on treatment methods….
I am planning to start taking Prozac 60 MG as a starter for PE [premature ejaculation problem]. I am shy to go to doctor.
tell me is it OK?
I am an 18 year old male heterosexual and my libido has never been so low! I’ve been using Prozac for almost three months now. (my doctor suggested it for depression) I think it has a bad side effect on me. Sex doesn’t give me much pleasure anymore and it makes it much harder for me to reach orgasm, when I do reach orgasm, it doesn’t as good as it used to and lasts shorter.
I also used to like kissing a lot, but now making out with my girlfriend doesn’t feel much better than making out with a piece of steak… This sucks!
What should I do? Stop using Prozac and go back to my normal sexual life or live on as a near-frigid person…
In the first paragraph I meant: “doesn’t feel as good as it used to”
I wasn’t sure how to work my question, but is it common for men to almost lose the ability to ejaculate while on antidepressants? My boyfriend says that’s what it is, but I think it might be me. Perhaps I’m paranoid.
Thanks.
