What STDs do they check for when you are pregnant?

If your pap smear showed that you have HPV (human papilloma virus) is that an STD or just a virus that many people have? HPV causes genital warts, does that mean that genital warts is an STD or just a result of HPV? Thanks!

I had unprotected sex last weekend, and am going to get tested on Thursday, when doing the STD tests, can they tell if you’re pregnant or not?

I had appendix removed after it burst and was in the hospital for a week. They took my blood daily and also took urine samples. Would they find an STD just by doing that? Do they even check for that kind of stuff?

I am new to my area and I am going to go to a clinic and I am wondering what department do i go to for an checkup to make sure i dont have any std’s?

My soon to be husband is going to the dr. for a prostate exam (routine) and it was so hard to get him to go. We have been together for 6 years and we both want to have a child but i’m amazed that we have never gotten pregnant in the 6 years….the first 3 was using the pull-out method, then 1 year on the IUD, and the other was refraining during ovulation time. When we first got together we didn’t want to get pregnant…but now i’m 27 and he is 40 and i’m realizing maybe we will have a hard time. He has 2 kids from a previous relationship.

So my question is…i have asked him to have a check up where they do a sperm count..ect…and I am having the same. I do not know what specific dr does this? Can a man get a prostate exam and check his swimmers at the same time?
