How long does it take for STD’s to get into your blood after you sleep with someone?
Friday, May 6th, 2011I slept with someone last night, kinda a one nighter, i want to go for testing tomorrow. Is it useless to go so soon?

I am taking a test for STD’s and (long story short) my parent’s are going with me, I am 18 but I am afraid the birth control will show up because they share this info with immigration (long story) can birth control show up?
The last few year or so I have had intermittent abdominal discomfort, usually after eating. I tracked what I was eating to see if I noticed any patterns based on what I ate, but couldn’t find any- it varied from consistently to randomly. Things were okay for a few weeks, but the last couple weeks it has been flaring up again. I will have cramping and then need to have a bowel movement, and the stools are normally soft, if not diarrhea, and frequent (2-3 times a day) bowel movements.
Today, after another uncomfortable stomach ache and soft bowel movement, I noticed there was dark red blood in my stool- it looked worked in with it, not like it was just bleeding from the bowel movement process. When I wiped, there was also some dark red blood.
I’m concerned because dark blood in my stool along with the abdominal problems I have from time to time doesn’t seem like a good sign of anything.
I have a history of ovarian tumors/cyts and I see a gynecological oncologist every couple months for follow ups, and have an ovarian cyst that is currently being monitored, which I thought was part of the reason behind my abdominal pain, but now that I have bloody stools I am not so sure.
I am a 24 years old, and female (obviously).
What could this be and should I make a doctor’s appointment ASAP and who with? My gyn onc? My university health center?
Also, there is a history of colo-rectal cancer in my mom’s side of the family. She actually saw a geneticist at the Mayo Clinic and my family has a specific gene that carries colorectal, pancreatic and prostate cancer, though the only ones who have had cancer have been in their 70s
Dr. Bobby Lazzara of ” The Doctor Is In” discusses the important relationship between the risk factors for erectile dycunction and their relationship to the risk factors for heart disease…
can I take horny goat for erectile dysfunction while taking lisinopril for high blood pressure?
My husband now has blood in urine now and then, no pain, but noticed it a while back. Should he be concerned? His doctor is aware of his enlarged prostate but was negative for prostate cancer. I read that the blood in urine is a symptom of enlarged prostate – so should we be alarmed? or should he go see a urologist at this point?
I do not have an STD nor am I pregnant anymore, however, the week before last, I was pregnant and lost my baby and my left fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy. I started having the brown discharge 2-3 weeks before the ectopic pregnancy surgery. I am still having the discharge. What could it be?
It is irrelevant to say “ask the doctor” because I have and will. The doctors do not seem too concerned about it. I have an appointment tomorrow and will ask again and I have an appointment Friday and will ask again.
I just recently gave blood in order to get tested for STD’s but didn’t ask that I also get tested for herpes. I was wondering if herpes is usually included with the other tests?
