is it possible to get a viral infection from oral sex but not an std?

Like can you get a sore throat swollen lmph nodes fever and fatique from giving oral sex but not get an std? just sick?

   I suppose its probably possible, but I’m not a doctor and thus can’t suggest a likelihood of it. If mouth-to-genitals is the only thing you’re doing (no mouth-to-mouth). I would speculate that it would be unlikely, but I really don’t know for sure.

   you can always get a viral infection and stds when doing oral sex,all it needs is a open sore from bleeding gums ,canker sore you name it.but you described a cold symptoms.
