I probably wouldn’t take it if it screwed up my hormones or had a potential longterm effect — and I’d still worry about STDs. But my wife is horrible with meds, so maybe would for her if she asked.

Hopefully not && no.

I wouldn’t trust men to say they took it. not because i wouldn’t love my man enough to trust him but because honestly i think we all trust ourselves more than other people. so i would ask him to take it and then i would take the pill myself. but i’m waiting anyways so it doesn’t really matter.

I would take in a heartbeat. I have been debating having a vasectomy but afraid I may want kids one day. If I could take a bill to not worry about pregnancy then I am game. I don’t worry about STDs too much because I don’t actively sleep around.

I can’t wait for one to be invented! Most men don’t want kids anyway, so it’s in their best interest to take the pill. HA.

I’d make my significant other take it. In lab studies they’re proving to be just about 100% effective (3% more effective than the female BC pill) and us women have been taking them for decades. It’s time for men to show some responsibility.
Hormone effect is minimal and it wouldn’t have long term effects – just look at any women who’s been taking them for any extended period of time! Obviously the same risk factors would apply – don’t take them if you have heart problems or if you’re a smoker, but still. Seriously, how can you not love the idea of having 100% control over your own reproduction system?
Also you’re married, and unless you’re worried about infidelity, why are you worried about STDs? Unless your wife has STDs, I guess.

But isnt that what birth control pills do? mess with hormones? the female pill is designed so that it stops the ovary from producing the egg for a little while: this is why periods stop (and therefor there is nothing for the sperm to fertilise) and in many women, the pill messes up their hormones for ages after they take it.
I don’t think i would trust a man who said he took it – unless he offerd me proof.
yes the worry of STD’s are still there, maybe the pill is just for extra protection (with the condom) or just for married couples who dont have STD’s and just dont want to have children.

hell do men truly believe if a woman says she is on them and taking them
i think they need to make birth control for men, that way the could be 100% sure they are covered,,

If there was a male BC pill, there’s no way I would trust a man who says he took the pill!

I would trust him as much as he trusted me to take mine.
Your comment about male BC screwing up your hormones, is a typical male cop out, why should it be any different for men?
Think about the short and longer term effects it has had on women.
