how the doctor perform when checking if the patient have a sexually transmitted disease?

is it blood or pelvic check?
bcoz few days from now i will undergo physical exam blood and urine so can they detect if i have std?

    Some STDs can be detected through a pelvic exam. Most will be confirmed with a culture (taking fluid or tissue samples to the lab).

    It could be both. HIV and Hepatitis are blood tests. they can test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea pelvic or even by swabbing your eye or a urine sample. Depends on what they are testing for. HPV is a pelvic test.

    If they’re doing a general screening, they will do a vaginal swab, a “smear” (place a small amount of vaginal fluid on a slide for examination by a pathologist), a visual exam, typically take a urine sample and often a blood sample, and very rarely a rectal swab.
