How Does The Color And Density Of Sperm Relate To The Fertility Of A Man?

My bf’s ejaculation is yellowish and watery. Not white and thick.
I know that you can’t “see” sperm but I thought the more white and thick it was, the more sperm there was. Does that not bode well in the fertility department for my bf?
By the way, long before me in his teen years he did get someone pregnant but it was an etopic pregnancy and they lost the baby so I do not think he’s infertile.
I was just wondering what color/density has to do, if anything, with the fertility of a man.
