Doctor found urinary tract infection in my girlfriend, would they have also found an STD if she had one?

So I took my girlfriend to the emergency room yeterday because she was nausous, lightheaded, uneasiness. The doctor did a series of test including chest xray, mouth swab and urine test, they found out she had Urinary tract infection. With all these test would they have found an STD if she had one? Are we in the clear?

    Sorry. Not necessarily. when someone goes to emerg. they check for what is causing the problem . No time to check for everything else that happens to people.

    Both of you get tested so you can relieve your minds.

    NO sex until her meds are finished as you will reinfect her.

    for std elisa for hiv,wasserman reaction,vdrl r done,if none of the tests hav been done then there is no way 2 know if there is std or not.

    No she would not have been tested for anything really so she now needs to go to the well woman clinic or similar and get all the routine tests done. If you both had partners before you both should get routine std checks asap. Also, dont have sex until she has finished her medication and then any time you do have sex, both of you need to make sure your hands and genitals are clean. Most girls get urinary tract infections from bad hygiene, not from the girl but from the guy! Wash yourself and your hands often!
    Take care of her and yourself!

    if they swabed her well if she got a pap and not just peeed in a cup then they would have let her know but with just a pee in a cup wont tell nething
