Best antidepressant for Psychological Erectile Dysfunction? ?

I have had some bad problems happen in the past with Erectile Problems. Now I have been exercising alot and eating right. I also got put on anti-depressants that helped alot at first, I took Prozac, but now it has kinda numbed me. Is there any anti-depressant that will actually help increase libido or something similar?

I’ve always read and heard that Wellbutrin is a good anti-depressant to use if antidepressants are causing you to lose libido. People often add it on to the current anti-depressant meds they take if the drug causes a loss of libido.

In terms of ‘increasing’ libido, I’m not sure if it has that effect. You could try it and see if it works for you. Ask your doctor about Wellbutrin.

Prozac is an SSRI so it is in the class of drugs that most often causes problems with libido.

I hope my answer at least gives you a direction to go in.

The other answer from Patrick is correct.

I was on Paxil and Effexor for awhile, both of which can have sexual side effects, and Wellbutrin is much better for me, personally.

You can ask your doctor to try the medication change, but not every medication works the same for everyone, so you need to work with the doctor on this.

I’ve never taken Prozac, so I have no idea about its effects.

    Good luck to you.
